Friendsgiving 2015

Every year I look forward to going to Friendsgiving. I had to work for a bit in the morning and when I got home it was perfect timing to head to Acton and eat some yummy food with my good friends. Unfortunatly, someone had other plans in store for the Milhoan family. While I was in the shower I heard crying coming from the outside. A few seconds later Jake brought baby Jake in to my room and said, "there's blood. I quickly got out of the shower and looked at the cut and sure enough, it was a good size and it was deep. I got dressed and headed down to urgent care while Jake took care of stuff at the house.
Baby Jake cried all the way there, he said it didn't hurt but was scared of the doctor. He fell asleep while in the waiting room but when we got back to admitting he was pretty calm. The doctor didn't numb him and jake ended up with 3 stitches, a minion bandaid and a toy. Pretty sweet deal.
When we got in the car, he asked to call "the sisters" to tell them all about it.
When I got home I rushed to get ready and headed up to hang for friends giving. It was super perfect and all the kids had a blast. I mean, all the sugar one can eat!

Abort Abort!

I love Halloween! Every year the kids and I get excited about halloween makeup and we talk about what we are going to do for the year. I came across some cool videos on how to do scary makeup and have been successful in the kids makeup for their costumes. This year I discovered how to do cuts. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday I get to hang out with the Anderson kiddos and I really love having them over. Anyway, the kids and I talked about doing halloween makeup when they came over. Well this specific day we thought we would play a prank on their mom. I put some cuts on the kids and sent Rachel a picture of them. I figured I would say something that would tip her off that it was a joke. At first I was going to say Andi fell off the trampoline but I figured that it would seem too real  so I told her via text that Andi fell off the roof. She was totally going to catch on with that, I mean, why would Andi be on the roof. So I get a text back that says, "can you put a butterfly bandaid on it?" Okay, I will bite Rachel. I totally thought she was kidding! So I send her a message back that says "No, Andi passed out!" Ha The final text from Rachel is her insurance card! Oh CRAP, abort mission!!!!! So I knew she believed it happened so se had to send her a picture of us laughing. We all got a pretty good laugh but Im still concerned, its not normal for your kids to be on the roof! fun times at aunt Frans house!

fourth of July

Here is some photos from the hatchery, and fourth of July in Mead. We went with the Evans and Andersons, it was so fun. We didn't get all cute on fourth of July but we did have an awesome dinner at a mexican restaurant, bought fire works and lit them off next to the hotel. It was so fun and perfect for us.

Visit from the Kielczewski family

My uncle Ricky was always my favorite uncle growing up. He was the big kid that we had fun with. So when he comes to town I make sure I bring the kids and we go do something fun with him. I love watching my kids with him because it brings back great memories from when I was a kid. His son Alex is just like him, the kids had a blast with him too. I was so happy to hear they were coming into town, I haven't seen them in years and it was great. My aunt Ruth has ALS and it was hard to see her like that. Her speech was difficult to understand but she has a great attitude and is so positive. I wanted to cry several times but it wasn't the right time. You know growing up these were the people I look up too and in my mind I am still that kid looking up to them. You don't want people to get old or sick, I want that young memory to last forever.
We went to IFly and to the beach while they were here and caught up memories. I didn't want our time to end and not going to lie I balled like a baby when they had to leave. I can't wait for our next visit and hopefully it is sooner this time.

Proposal

Today was a busy day. Joe a while back asked me to help him with ideas on how to propose to Amanda. Of course I was super excited and had tons of ideas. Joe liked to involve the boys so we got the boys shirts made that said "Mom,say yes!" and planned that he would propose on the Santa Monica pier. Amandas mom came and was part of the surprise. Needless to say, she was shocked and happy. After the proposal, I headed home and got ready to head to AV to help set up for the graduation.
