When it it enough

Enough is enough! I've tried to be nice, let things slide, put a smile on my face, be positive, let it go, put myself in others shoes, be understanding, be christ like, continue to give but I can't anymore. When people snap at my kids and belittle them I am done. No more effort will be made, I'm not going out of my way for people anymore and I don't care if they are family. I have lost sleep for 2 days now consumed in many incidents that has happened, I replayed it in my head numerous times to see if I am over reacting, but I'm not. I talked to a close friend about it and I was stopped in mid sentence because she says I was making excuses for the people that are rude to my kids. And she was right, there is no excuse for them and I won't make them for them anymore. My kids have so many people that love them and I have had to fight with myself with the fact that family should be the ones close to them and that is not the case for us (there are some exceptions). I know this has been hard for my husband and I hate seeing him mad but we as parents are just going to have to let it go and live our lives with excepting it.

New adventure

We recently purchased a toy hauler and it was a long time dream for Jake to finally get it. We use to drive on the freeway on weekends and see these people with dirtbikes and toy haulers and Jake was express his jealousy. He finally got his very own toy hauler and he is so happy. We finally were able to take it out and meet with some friends for the weekend. It was really fun, the kids did great riding. There were a couple times my heart stopped due to watching the fealess riding most of the kids were doing. Baby Jake wend on some rides with us and most of the time played in the dirt. And there was plenty of dirt to go around, by the end of the day it was caked on the kids and showers were a must. Jake got stickers made for the kids that said if there were found call this number, we have a few excapies that needed that information on them. The kids all did great with eachother and it was nice to be with a group of people that were welcoming and fun to be with. We got great entertainment by the Evans boys and there dance to Gagnam style, I was impressed with their moves. Baby Jake got a a ton of bumps and bruises and at one point had a huge goose egg on his head. In all I loved it and can't wait to go again!

Valentine's day

I don't care what people say, Valentine's day is so fun. I think yes you should express your love on different days and not just holidays but sometimes days like this are fun. Jake went last night and got a ton of balloons and stuck them in the trailer for me and it did bring a big smile to my face. The kids were in heaven with all the balloons, baby Jake just kept giggling and running in circles. Jake this year is always as usual hard to get for and trying to gret creative is what I have resorted to. This year I was passing Vons and saw the girl scouts...and yes, he scored Thin mints this year taped to his steering wheel. haha Now that is love!

If it wasn't for friends......

If it wasn't for friends I don't think the class this semester would be possible. I have to take a class because AV college requires it to be taken to graduate the nursing program and I can't take it while in the nursing program or I will really have no life and I want Summer and Winter off to be with my kids. If it wasn't for Rachel and Laurel right now how this class would of got done.
After tears, long talks and encouragement from my friends I sucked up my fears and took a class where I could only do if I got help. Rachel takes baby Jake and Laurel picks up Talia and keeps her for 20mins after pre-school. Baby Jake cried a few times but Rachel sent me an assuring text that he was doing great, and when I picked him up and took him home he would talk about Rachel. That alone warmed my heart knowing that he is being loved. When I get Talia I get "Mom, why don't you stay longer at school, I want to stay with La-well." Thanks Talia for missing me!
I'm so happy to have these women in my life, they are a blessing and I'm grateful for their comfort.

Well check for baby Jake

Since we have had to change insurances over the last year we have not been able to come to our usual doctor's office. Boy have I missed this place, the doctors are great and they go above and beyond for me. When we had to go to Kaiser for a year I felt left in the dark with how things went and didn't feel it was for us. So when Jake went back to outside construction we were able to get to go back to our usual docotrs. Today was baby Jakes well check visit and it was interesting. He did NOT like taking his clothes off at all, he kept crying and covering his boobies and saying "No mommy, my boobies." I guess he is shy! HA The doctor said that I could start to introduce potty training and that he was doing great. They did this new thing where they take a picture of the childs eyes to see if he will possibly need glasses one day and he did great with that. Talia was a pill, I asked about the constant accidents that she has been having and the doctor seems to think that she might just be being lazy with it and it's common. FUN FOR ME! Well we don't have to be back for shots till 3 and he was all caught up for this year :)

Becky's babyshower

I love Becky, she is such a great person to be around. She has a heart that is true and always goes out of her way for others. Rachel and I were able to whip up a super cool shower for her which I think went awesome. It was a mustache party so there was pin the baby on belly, and mustache pictures of Becky, good food and chocolate mustaches. The group of ladies that came were amazing and I think we all had a great time just hanging out. Jen and I livened the night with a crazy server and my stubborn attitude, thank goodness I didn't order soup (for sure luggie). Happy Birthday Becky!

My best friend

There are so many reasons that I love this man. He has been a great support in that last few weeks for me when I have been down. Yes, he drives me crazy but I don't know any man that doesn't drive their wife crazy from time to time. I have notices that we have not had any time to ourselves lately and that can be so rough. Everyone is busy with their own lives and we don't want to burden others with babysitting so Jake and I make the best of our situation. Sometimes we talk about how when we were first married we would walk to Don Cucos and eat dinner then watch a movie. I swear the freedom was so long ago I have practically forgotten what it is like. The kids are getting much older now and the fighting is constant in our house, from morning to night it is a battle between getting the kids ready for school, homework, cleaning up, showers, scriptures and bedtime. The routine is very much the same every....single....day. I know that they will get older and I will miss this time, so this is why I write it down, vent out the issue and move on. I really do love my family, I enjoy the memories we make and chaos of every day. I'm just happy to have a husband that can be by my side, keep me sane and let me run away to the grocery store without kids ever once in a while.

Talia is 5

This little girl is getting so big, on feb 5th Talia turned 5 and she was so excited for it. In the morning we sang happy birthday to her and she was able to turn all shades of red and covered her face from being shy. I took her to get her favorite drink from starbucks...we call it a mocha-caca-fraca-chino. Don't ask, I have no idea why we call it that. She got tons of calls from family, some musical numbers by our Modesto family (thanks Rachel) and visitors stopped by to show her love. She told me she wanted colorful flowers and that is just what he did, he also brought some princess fabulous balloons to go with it.
Then at school she was able to bring cupcakes (orange for the color of the day) and juice to share with her friends. She was so excited and was smiling all day.
