Just an old picture
It only took a year and 7 months
We went to the beach yesterday and the weather was perfect. There was no one on the beach and the kids were easily entertained. We stayed for a good while and then I headed to my moms to meet my nephew for the first times. Weird, right?! Well due to family and stuff I can't even remember a year and seven months have past. When my mom got back to the house from picking the kids up he was nervous to come in. So the person I am, I picked him up. He was not happy with that but got over it quick due to bribery of a cookie. I think I kissed him like 50 million times. I had him playing ball with me and taking pictures within no time. My mom and I took all the kids for ice cream and then we walked over to the dollar store I let them pick out stuff to have. When we got back to my moms we ran around with glow sticks and laughed.
It's hard to not be a part of these kids lives but I just feel that my family was not welcomed and yes I could be the bigger person but to constantly let things go after repeated situations is just getting old and something I am not willing to do again. For now I got my 2 hours of fun with them, who knows, maybe one day they will know me better.

Citrus Festival
Yesterday Jake called me from work and asked how I was doing. Well, the kids were fighting and I was cleaning, no fun. He told me he saw that there were hot air balloons flying and he thought that there was a festival going on. So, I loaded the kids up and headed to Santa Paula. The Citrus festival was going on and I remember wanting to see this last year but forgot about it. Jake met us there and we headed in to see what they had. The kids played games and we walked around looking at old cars and eating all the yummy food they had. At night the band came on and the balloons started to fill up. It was AMAZING, I was like a little kid at Disneyland. The kids were just as excited and the people who owned the hot air balloons were so nice and let people climb in and take pictures. This will be a for sure next year must go to!
Randomness
Baby Jake needed a hair cut and after asking daddy to do it so many times I needed to get it done. I took him to a local shop that is good at doing mens hair. Jake was not a happy camper, he pouted a bit but after a while he got over it. I love clean cut boys, the shaggy hair is not a style I like.
I got an email to a Summer bash event by route 66 so I figured that it would be a fun family night. They had a great bad and it felt like a high school reunion. Jake and I saw so many people from high school and even junior high. There was a couple of my nursing friends there which was nice to see and talk for a bit.
Nikki sent a couple of us a email about a magic show at COC, so we all went. IT was so fun, baby Jake was cracking up which had us laughing along with him. The magician WACKO was super fun!
Daddy needed to try on some shirts so we headed to Macy's with him. It would not be an adventure if we didn't have a little fun. Baby Jake was a mannequin model and we made daddy try on some shirts which we got to poke a little fun at. Never a dull moment!
Beach with cousins
I love seeing these two together, they play so well.
He jumped waves forever and no matter how many times he got knocked over he kept getting up for more.
He thought it would be funny to put seaweed on me, thanks daddy for egging that on.
I love going to the beach, I can sit and just watch the kids. The kids really do great there, they would stay all day and all they need is food, sand and water. Jake came later in the day which I was so happy he did. It's not easy with four kids on my own all the time plus I don't expect others to care for my kids so getting help is not easy for me. Thank goodness being at the beach is not hard! Jake and I got to boogie board which is a first for me, I don't normally go in the ocean but with the extra push from Wendy and Rachel I went. So happy I did, I had a blast! Kaelyn kept asking for the boogie board back haha. No one wanted to go home so we cleaned up and went to the Spot and got some food and sat in the field by the play ground it was just so perfect!
We wanted to get to the car fast so we told the kids we were going to race to the end of the field, they fell for it!
