Hurricane Harbor fun

I feel like we have been living in the water this summer. The Hurricane Harbor passes have come in handy and this was Jake's first time going with us. He was pretty tired from working an all night shift but he wanted to come and hang out with us. We had a great time relaxing and swimming, I was so happy to have this day with the family and the kids had a really great time with the family too.

Bowling and Library

Summer is wearing me out~ Today we went to the library for a sign language singing time. The older kids did great, Talia started to roll around on the ground and chase Corrine so they at least had fun with each other haha. Then my friend Nikki and I took the kids bowling and the kids had a blast, baby Jake was a little difficult but a package of donuts kept his attention for a bit.

Summer vacation part 1

I'm exhausted from the week of fun. I think I'm going to need a vacation from our summer vacation at this point. We have been to Hurricane Harbor, birthday parties, magic shows, swimming, movies and more movies. Today we went to see the new Disney movie Brave and it was so fun. We went to the El Capitan theater, Jakes family invited us to go with them so we did. Later in the day we went to Jakes brothers house for swimming and dinner. When I got home I took a shower and laid down for a second, that second turned to hours. HAHA I'm pooped out and I think I have a cold to go with it. Honestly it's worth it, I'm having so much fun and I know the kids are too. Grateful for all that are able to join us this summer and can't wait for more fun weeks.

Hard decisions

This envelope was something I've waiting for and I finally got it. I was excepted to Valley College for their nursing program but I had to turn it down. The classes were 4 days a week and I thought I could do it. But everything went down hill, my parents are not being very nice to me, my inlaws are leaving on a mission and it became a dead end.  Today I had to call the college and decline my spot, the instructor called me again later to ask if I was sure and just to have to say yes again was hard. I do have another opportunity to going to another college so I'm waiting on that one. Hopefully by then it will work out but for now I'm trying to keep positive and hey, I just gave another person the opportunity to have my spot and hopefully do great things.

Hurricane Harbor

First day of summer our trip is Hurricane Harbor, the weather was really great. The kids had a blast and didn't want to go home but taking baby Jake was kinda hard because he wanted to be held. We were able to hang with friends, munch on goodies and run around. We only stayed about 2 hours and then we headed out. things I've learned are....do not wear a tube top bathing suit with an 18month old around and have the girls buddy up. Can't wait to go again!

Happy Father's Day

Father's day was low key today, Jake and I were still tired from the rafting trip so we didn't do much. The girls helped me make breakfast and then we went to church. I think I almost fell asleep in Sacrament a few times. After church we did go out to eat at Oggi's shhh I forgot to get dinner food yesterday so we had noting ready. We headed over to my inlaws to see Jake's dad and hung out for a bit. I was a little bummed because I didn't go see my dad but I did call, I hope my family situation fixes soon. Anyways Jake is an amazing father, I pray that my girls find someone just like him when they marry and that my son follows in his dads footsteps and treats his wife and kids well just like my husband treats us. We love Jake so much and he is a blessing in our lives.

Mission time

`What the heck Canyon Country mail man! I thought we had a deal; you were not suppose to deliver that white envelope to the house. Well, on our trip up at Kern that sneaky mail man brought that white envelope to my inlaws house and it was waiting there till we got home. The family all met at the house for Russ and Cindy to open their mission papers and see where they were called. I was voting for Valencia California but noooooo they are going to Zambia....AFRICA! Heavenly Father must of not got my prayer in time, darn it. Anyways, my family is excited for grandma and grandpa. I started to get tears in my eyes because it will be hard without them but I know this is what they need to do and the time will go by fast. I need to start working on their going away loin clothes, this will be my first sewing project!!!! hahaha love you guys!

River Rafting

What an amazing experience this was! My inlaws two years ago surprised the family with a trip to go white water rafting. Life got busy and we were not all able to go up until yesterday. This is one of the best family vacations I've been on, we had such a great time. I was pretty nervous about doing this because I can be a chicken at times. It probably didn't help that the instructor kept saying "In the event you should get knocked out of your boat, don't freak out." I swear I heard him say the words "Don't freak out" like 10 times. At that point I think I started to get nervous and started to freak out. Our guide was really great and had us laughing the whole time. I bought Jake a GOPRO a while back and he was finally able to use it and we caught some great video of the trip. I am proud to say that I didn't get knocked out of the boat but I did see others go flying and holy cow it did "freak me out." Jake loved every minute of the trip, he even cliff dived and him and his brother Joe did an in sync back flip into the water. Can't wait for the next trip!!!!!

End of school....

Where did that year go? Today was the last day of school and I feel like I just blinked my eyes and it's June 15th. I have to say that this year was amazing, I met some really great woman that have made a huge impact on my life as well as my children. It's funny because I would enjoy their stories and text pictures of Kaelyn in class. It's wonderful to meet moms that have the same mind thought as I have..."I need to let Fran know that Kaelyn's birthday is going to be at Disneyland and everyone is invited." I didn't get to volunteer as much as I wanted to this year but I was happy that the friends I have were there to help and touch those little kids lives.
Yesterday there was a picnic for the Kindergartners and I was able to go with baby Jake to participate in the fun. The kids got to play a ton of games and eat pizza. Baby Jake cried for like an hour (okay 5mins) because he wanted his slice of pizza right now.
I'm impressed with how much my children have grown and the progress in school. Next year I will have a 1st and 3rd grader and this mama bear is freaking out with how fast they are growing.
