Talia's Christmas party
Today was her Christmas party at school where she was able to get a book, do crafts, and eat tons of goodies. Baby Jake an I went to join in the fun, most of the time jake was in the tool section playing and climbing into things.
Big 1
Things he can say:
That (points into the air)
Core (our dogs name)
Please (sounds more like peas)
Thank you (dank you)
Dad (says this a lllll day long)
Mom (says mom but calls me dad too)
Interview with a one year old:
So Jake how does it feel to be one? Blank stare and looks away
Who's your favorite sister? Blank stare and looks away..Kaelyn chimes in and says that it's her.
Do you like being one? Blank stare then starts to babble
What do you want to be when you get older? Starts to babble immediately and laugh ..I will translate! "Mom, I want to be like my daddy and be a lineman".
There you have it our big one year old!

Holiday party

Every year I'm invited to a all woman's party and my dear friend Patty Patovich's house. Her home is such a beautiful sight, with Christmas trees in nearly every room decorated to perfection. I look forward to going every year to mingle with ladies from the ward and most of all see my good friends. This year one of my friends Rachel whom I come know very well was there, have you ever met someone and clicked with them? Well Rachel is the best!
It's funny because my friends Melissa and Jodie (Patty's daughter) always take a picture infront of the tree, every year one of us is prego or heavy set...hahaha this year no one is pregnant and we have maintained our weight..yeah us!

Jessica

I have to say this post is not my normal funny, crazy posts. Yesterday opened my eyes to something I think would bother any parent; something that makes you take a step back and say "I feel horrible." My daughter Jessica was brushed aside by another family member and I went along with it as if Jessica did something wrong. It wasn't till later I realized my daughter did nothing wrong, I was just not paying attention to what actually happened. Jessica was trying to give this family member a peice of paper with a little note. Today I asked Jessica if she still had the note and she saved it and said to me while she handed it to me "Mom do you think I can give it to her now, or is she still too busy?" I wanted to cry and I can still see my daughters eyes from yesterday looking at me confused to what she did wrong.
I still feel horrible but I've decided to make and write and i will be handing the letter to the person Jessica wanted to deliver it to and appologize to my daughter for not sticking up for her. I guess this is a lesson learned, people our children are innocent and want love, don't brush them off like they are nobody...just listen and love them!

Here come the teeth
This little man is a trooper~ He got 6 teeth in one week, I thought that he was going to need dentures soon and then BAM here they are. He has been kinda fussy but no fevers or really bad nights...That's my boy! Jake and I had to get these pics, and baby Jake was cracking up the whole time, there were a few snorts in the process as well...

Oh Boy!
Touch Down, the Bears won the game last night....Yes the Bears won last night but baby Jake is not cheering that win, he's happy that he dumped all the crayons in the tub out and was able to get in the tub. Yeah baby Jake but boooo that I have to clean the mess up. This little man is a handful, love having this little boy in our lives. He is always happy and laughing so dang it is hard to get mad at him...melts my heart daily!Monday, October 31, 2011
Babcia's costume 2011

Every year my mom and the ladies she works with dress up...This year they were tigers! I usually bring the kids (that are not in school) with me to see her and get pictures. Jake was a little unsure of what the heck my mom was wearing and Talia didn't want to go near Lisa. It probably didn't help that Lisa kept growling at Talia, haha. My mom is a good sport and every year I have to get a laugh seeing what she did for the day :)

Da Zoo!
Fun times with some great moms and awesome kids today. My friends invited us to go to the zoo with them and it was the perfect outting. The weather was cool and it made the zoo enjoyable. I love how much there is to look at and the excitement in the kids faces when they see something they like. Now that my kids are getting older I think that they are enjoying this type of stuff. We got to see a ton of animals and the kids had fun running around with their friends. After we left we hit up the ice cream parlor, by that point I was worn out and wanted to get home... :)I'm getting old!
We celebrated my birthday on the 30th of September after my TEAS test this year. I have to say it was a much needed night out and a BIG THANK YOU to Jakes cousin Reanne for taking me and my family out to Buca di Beppo. I swear I can count on that girl to always make me laugh and relax. The kids had a blast seeing their cousins and the best part is we went to City Walk to eat, so much to see there. They had a live band that night and the kids ran around to shake it :)

Pirate program
I swear, Kaelyn knows how to make me smile. Now that she has been going to school I've seen her change so much, she loves her teacher and school so much. Today was her program and Talia, baby Jake and I went to watch her sing and then do a book of activities.
She was so excited to see us and it was fun to watch her up there. I'm so grateful for her positive, fun loving attitude that that she has. My little blondie is getting so big!

It's that time of year for our Saturday's to be filled with running around from game to game and fun times as a family. Soccer is something Jake and I agreed on for the girls and they are so far enjoying it. Kaelyn cracks us up with her spunky self and Jessica has really shown us she is great on defense. I look forward to watching my girls on the field, I have to admit I'm one of the loud
mom's that (I want to use the words encourage) yells.

Bags of Crap!

I called my dad the other day to see if he can spray my house, I've seen some spiders roaming around and it freaks me out. I asked him what I needed to do to prepare to get the house in order. and this is what he said (in his italian voice) "Franje, you need to clear around the base boards, no toys can be on the floor. You have alot of stuff in your house!" WHAT! I was a little irritated with him about the "ALOT OF STUFF" comment.
Today I have to wait for the stupid fridge guy who is coming from anywhere between 8 and 11...It's 9:56am! So I went to Jessica's room and started to go thru her totes....4 bags later I realize where at the "STUFF" came from, my parents house. I don't buy tons of toys for the girls and I haven't been paying attention to what they have in their hands when we leave my parents house. Some of the "STUFF" I came across was: rocks, 2 camcorders, wallets, old stuff animals, broken toys.
I called my mom and told her I'm sending all of it back to her house. My mom comes back with "It's your dad, not me." Nice lecturing me yesterday guys on my cluttered house courtesy of you two...lol I laugh now but was not happy earlier!

Freezer Jam!
This is my first attempt at making freezer jam~ My friend Laurel told me she makes this for her family and it's a hit in her household. On our recent trip to Lake Mead she brought some and won over Jake and Jessica with this stuff. Today I decided to give it a try. I'm sure it will take a couple of times to get it right but I tried right??

Trying to stay on track
I'm so tired lately! I thought the kids back in school would be a breath of fresh air but it's been alot harder. I've been running around ragged and I feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Jake has been working like crazy so I don't see much of him and the weather SUCKS!
On Sunday as we were getting ready for church Talia was sitting on the floor and she looked up at me and said "Uh Oh mommy," she had peed her pants. Lately she has been HORRIBLE with peeing the toilet and Jake and I thought it was lazyness. Boy we were wrong! I finally had enough and took her to the Urgent Care, all the way there Talia was balling because she associates the doctor with shots. When we got there she calmed down and the doctor tested her urine and sure enough UTI. I have had her on the antibiotics for the last 3 days and she has been excellent, no wet undies :)
Today I recieved Jessica's homework packet from her teacher with a note that says she is behind in school. WHAT! I was like, you have only seen her for what four days. I called the teacher and spoke with her regarding this and she said that Jessica was not focused in class. So like any concerned mom I asked her what I could do to help or what can we change with her in class. The teacher responds "I have 29 students in class, I cannot focus only on Jessica." Oh snap did she just say that to me. That is when pist off mom came out and got stern. I told her that I was not going to let my child fail because there are too many students in her class and with that her attitude changed and then proceeds to tell me that she has only been in class 4 days and it's best we give it time...WHAT THE HELL LADY! If she has only seen Jessica 4 times she needs to get a clue herself. With that I wish I was rich to put her in private school, I wish I could volunteer more, I wish there was two of me and more hours in the day.
I feel like a ton of bricks are on my back and I'm trying to stay afloat. Most would say you should just not do school but sorry that is my time to get out of the house. I think it's only fair!

Little Stinker
My friend and I were studying the other day and I looked over and saw this cute little monkey in my cabinet. We watched him for a while and laughed at how determined he was to get everything out of that shelf. I didn't realize that boys are this active, jacob is in everything and he finds everything to put in his mouth.

Stressed Out
Not very happy today! I have a major test on September 30th and it's not going well. There is alot of Biology and the book that we have to study from is not preparing me for this test. There are example pre-tests online and I didn't see this in the book. I feel like crying at this point because the outcome does not look good and 3 years of school looks like a waste of time...This sucks!

First day of school 2011
Summer went really fast but in a way I'm very glad it's over. The vacation was fun with family and friends and tons of activities but there was only so much I could keep up with.
Jessica and Kaelyn are back in school and this time Jessica is in 2nd grade and Kaelyn is a Kindergartner.
The girls were very excited to go back and Jessica had a hard time sleeping because of it. I read the girls a book and they were off to bed. My mommy duties were not complete yet and lunches and outfits needed to be laid out. Let's face it, I was going to have a hard time waking up too and I didn't want to forget anything.
When we walked into the school gates Kaelyn turned to Jake and said "Daddy, look at all my new friends." If any of you know Kaelyn, you'll know that she is very friendly and loves to play.
Natalia wanted to get into all the excitment and packed her backpack and got dressed as well. Surprisingly she was really good about leaving, I thought she was going to freak out that she was not staying to go to school. On the walk back to the car there was no fighting, it was heaven. Talia played really great with the baby and I got to have a bit of peace till 2:15 :)
The girls told me that they had a great day when I picked them up. I asked Kaelyn if she got into trouble and she said that she got out of line to hug Jessica and Mrs. Evans said "Now Kaelyn you can't get out of line"...lol She said she will stay in line from now on.
