Hurricane Harbor

With the temperatures being so high my mom and sister took the girls and I to the water park here in town. Jake got a call out and I didn't want to sit at home so we went along and our air conditioner is still getting installed so we needed to cool off.

Jessica, Talia and my sister Diana on the tram at Magic Mountain.

We had so much fun, Talia was a little weird about the water slides but after a few minutes we could not get her off of them. I would of took more pictures but i didn't want to get the camera wet.

Soccer Pictures

Can I just tell you how HOT it has been! I had to take Jessica to get her pictures done with her team on Saturday, she looked so adorable. Jessica is on the American Girl's team and she got to wear her uniform for the first time.
Waiting patiently in line with her team to get pictures.

Jessica and her little pal Shelby

There are 6 girls on the team, Jessica is the girl on the end on the left.

School Project

Jessica has project for school that I figured today would be a good day to do. She had to make a tresure chest for class. Kealyn REALLY wanted to help so I got out the hot glue gun, shinny stars, little jewels and glitter. I have to tell you they were having so much fun doing this. I controlled the hot glue gun and Jessica and I went back and forth on the glue stick. Kealyn was only allowed to help put stuff on. I let Jessica call the shots, and oh boy she did just that!

He's turning the big 28

My sister inlaw had a great get together at her house today for my brother's birthday (which is Tuesday). My family and my sister inlaw's family were all there and we were able to have a nice dinner and catch up on what everyone has been up to lately.
The kids had a blast and were able to run around in the backyard while the ladies watched my brother's wedding video. I swear it seems just yesterday that we were all getting ready for that wedding and October 4th will be a year. Time really flies, and just watching the video Igot teary eyed seeing my little girls and how big they are now.Talia and her daddy!
Happy Birthday Renzo, we love you....

A night of celebration

Tonight Jake, Kaelyn and I went to Julie Snow's wedding reception over at the Cummings home. It was really fun to see so many people and get to chat and catch up. Julie looking absolutly amazing and was just glowing like crazy.
My good friend Penny showed up and I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this girl. She is just such a down to earth happy person that is so possitive, and loving. I was really happy to spend time with her and catch up on life.

Kaelyn and Natalia were everywhere and wanted to dance, I feel like I had a full blown workout just from chasing them.

Sister Snow was so kind and stop a few of us and gave us a beautiful arrangement from the wedding to take home

Finally

Finally Jake and I bought a new car! We have been looking everywhere for this car. We both said that we have settled for less so many times or that we should of got this and never did.

Yesterday I saw a SUV down in Santa Clarita and I called my dad and asked him to come with me to look at it. So we went down there and I just let my dad talk. My dad is a great negotiater and he ended up knowing the manager there. The manager actually sold my dad an aerostar van 20 some years ago and has sold my dad a car many times. See when you bend over backwards for my dad he will do the same for you, he is a very loyal man.

After my dad going back and forth with them we got the deal we wanted and I love the SUV alot. We got the Yukon XL 07' fully loaded.

The spanking stick

When I was little my dad had a stick that had his kids names on it and if you got in trouble he would tell you to get the spanking stick. ouch!
As a joke my dad got a long wooden spoon and on it there is my girls names. So when the girls act up he says "where's the spanking stick?" They run around and laugh he chases them around the house.

Back to school night

I am still trying to get in the swing of things with Jessica going to Kindergarten. Tonight was back to school night and Jake and I went to go see Jessica's classroom and hear her teacher talk about what they are doing for the year. Can I just tell you that I love her teacher, she is amazing and I am very happy Jessica got her.
Jessica is still trying to write her name, I have seen days where is looks great but sometimes her s's are backwards and she adds an extra letter :)

This is where the kids pull cards. When they get in trouble they have to pull a card. When they get to red a note goes home. Jessica is on yellow today, she said that she did not help other's clean up their mess. I'm not sure if that is the whole story.

Jessica's first soccer practice

Today Jessica had her first soccer practice with her team All American Girls. She was having so much fun and was doing a great job. All the little girls on her team are such sweet girls and they all get along so well.

Coach Eddie had them running drills and doing sprints. Us parents loved it because he was getting all that energy out of them :)

At the end of the practice they lined up to take a picture and they were all chanting All American girls ...It was so great, Jake and I were having a great time and Grandma and Grandpa got to stop by and watch the practice.

Santa Monica

Uncle Brandon and us on the pier...so fun!

After a great breakfast at IHOP with my inlaws we took a trip down to Santa Monica Pier.. It really was beautiful down there, the weather was a little chill then it it burned off and it was clear blue sky. I haven't been there in a while and my friend Melinda has never been there so what a great day to go.
Natalia was sleeping here but we managed to get a really cute picture.

We took a great walk on the pier and the kids got to go on some rides and of course we had to have our funnel cake. It was nice to sit and watch all the people walking up and down and all the different carts that are there. On our way back to the truck we went to the promenade to check out some shops and watch the street performers. Jessica and Kaelyn got to give a little monkey money and the little guy would shake their hand. Jessica was like I don't know about this but Kaelyn was all over it and probally would of hugged it.

Jessica's first day of Kindergarten

Yes, this was the day I was dreading....Jessica is a Kindergartener...How did the time fly, I swear it was just yesterday that I was at the doctor's office trying to get Jake to believe me when I told him I was really pregnant and that I was not joking....

Jessica the night before wanted to help me make her lunch. She wanted ham and mustard sandwiched cut into the shape of a pumpkin...Thank goodness for Halloween cookie cutter's...
In the morning her daddy made her waffles and she was all smiles, but because we were out of syrup Jake used honey...let's just say you can't fool Jessica, she didn't eat it. On a good note Kaelyn did. The traffic by the school was crazy and I was looking around for the kids that were crying while holding their mom's leg. The good thing was I only saw one kid doing that, I didn't want Jessica to get freaked out and be like, where is my mom leaving me!

When we got there here teacher Mrs. Evans waved at us and said that Jessica needed her name tag on and to sign in. Jessica was still a little unsure but she kept a smile on her face. A volunteer took our family picture and then it was time to have Jessica go to class.

As I walked her to the door Mrs. Evans said "Don't cry" it made me laugh then I kissed Jessica and she went in. I turned to Jake and I started to cry.......I'm so proud of my little girl
When I went to pick her up she gave me a great big hug and said "Mommy, I didn't say any bad words and I ate all my food except the fruit cup daddy put in my lunch". She told me she had a great time and all I kept hearing about was Mrs. Evans...

Trip to the Skirball

On Wednesday we went to the Skirball Museum to check out the Noah's ark exibit. I always hear people say that is was fun so I decided to take a trip down their. Nicole came with her kids and my mom and my brother inlaw Brandon came along aswell.

I love this picture~

Kaelyn is helping build Noah's Ark!

It was really neat to see all the different animals that were made of recycled objects, and all the hands on stuff for the kids to mess with. Some of the things that the kids liked was helping building the Ark, putting the animals on the conveyor belt, climbing inside the Ark and story time.
Talia loved climbing on everything, she was not happy when we had to leave... Chillin with good old Uncle Brandon!

I just love this little girl, she was having so much fun here.

My mom trying to help the girls make a prayer bottle....

It was really nice ending summer with going to the Skirball....

Uncle Brandon's new hair style

I was in the other room working on some todo list stuff and I hear Jessica say "Kaelyn get the brush, we need to style Uncle Brandon's hair." So I grab my camera and run into the other room and this is what I saw.Natalia want to help aswell so Brandon being such a good sport he sat there and let her style also.
We love when Uncle Brandon comes to visit, the girls love spending time with him....

Jake's twin

I get a kick out of my kids and my husband. I always tell people how my kids look like their dad and have my attitude...Scary combo!

Our little Kaelyn is such a doll she tends to fall asleep just about anywhere just like her daddy. If you look at later posts of mine you will see Jake sleeping in the most weird places. I always tease him about it. Today he was helping me in my primary class and he actually fell asleep while reading the lesson to the class. I didn't realize what was going on until I heard one of my students say "Do you need help with a word, i can ready it for you". I looked over at Jake and he was sleeping while he was holding the lesson manuel. I couldn't contain my laughter after that. When I walked into the kitchen I found Kaelyn sitting on a stool with sun chips still in her hands. I made Jake take a picture near her to show that she is just like her daddy.

First Offical Day

On August 2, 2009 Natalia was able to go to her first day in nursery. She turns 18months on the 5th so I figured that she was close enough. The kids and I went to Canyon Country 2nd ward with family and she got to go to Sister Byers nursery class. Sister Byers is so well organized that i even want to stay.
They did singing, stories, projects and best of all snack time. She got to have Oreo's, manderine oranges and gramcrackers. Talia is just like her daddy she mowed down her Oreo's like someone was trying to steal it from her.

Kaelyn was also in class with her, it was really fun to watch them play. I almost started to cry so I left, they are getting so big and it is happening way to fast for me.
