Stagecoach 2012

BTW...I don't have a beer in my hands, Tim is holding two cups lol....
Now this was a fun weekend! I don't think I've laughed...danced or sang as much as I did this weekend. I've never even heard of stagecoach till we met Jakes boss Tim, he was our guide to the country events that are a blast to attend. We met so many people and ran into people we knew as well. I was nervous that this was going to be a not so exciting event and there was going to be crazy fights due to the alcohol and people....but that was not the case. Sure there was drinking but I've never seen so many people get along and smile. I had random girls come up and dance with our group and hang out. Jake's friend Mike ran into us and it became a Lineman reunion. This guy had me laughing all night, he kept pointing to the crowd and telling me that "these are all my friends." He dated my sister like 6 years ago and Jake and I were teasing him telling him that he turned my sister gay...he just kept saying "I can fix that." I think Jake almost peed his pants when he heard that. Mike is such happy down to earth guy, him and his date hung out with us for the two nights we were there. Jake's brother Joe and his friends showed up to join the fun. Jake's brother is one of my best friends, he has always been there for me and my family and is always willing to lend a helping hand when I'm overwhelmed.
During our second night Jake, Tim, Erica and I went to a restaurant in Palm Springs called Hamburger Mary's  where I made Jake take a picture with the statue....later that day we found out it was a gay bar...hahaha awesome!
I'm truly happy that I got to spend time with my husband and have our time together, we don't get to do it much and seriously when we do we feel lost without our four kids. I love that Jake can make me smile, he can read my mind and take time out to tell me he loves me. I can't wait to hopefully do this again next year with him and create more memories.

It's a miracle!

NO CAVITIES! Thank goodness, with all the darn holiday's and every were we turned someone was handing out the sugar. I know people mean well and I regulated the goodies I was still surprised to hear that they had no cavities. Seriously, I'm shaking my head while typing this because they have been caught sneaking the candy and I thought for sure they are going to have a bad report. After the good news we HAD to celebrate so we got ice-cream hahaha NOT!

Coltons baptism

Another busy Sunday has come and gone, but this Sunday was extra special. Today was Colton Baldree's baptism and we were invited to be there for this great day. We got to hear a great talk given by Coltons grandfather which I have to say LOVED and of course watch Colton be baptized by his dad Pat. I miss this family so much, I actually got tears in my eyes when I saw Genine (shhhh, I have a soft side). This family will always be dear to our hearts and we can't wait to make more memories with them. Congrats Colton, we love ya buddy!

Twin Day

Holy hectic Batman! Coordinating for girls is a whole other story in life, girls are very particular on Twin day. I'm just kidding, kinda! The girls wanted to dress the same as their friends on Twin day and we had to get it right. Kaelyn and Taylor dressed up in the yellow hello kitty shirts (Thanks Nikki :) with blue jean shorts and Jessica and her friend Kayla Y had the orange shirts with black tights. I love that my kids are excited about these activities, it means a lot to them and even if I make fun of it I secretly enjoy it as well. Love my girls!

Kaelyn's field trip

Underwood farms was a hit today for the Kindergartners of Mrs. Evans class. I was able to be a volunteer in Kaelyn's class and help with some of the kids. Its funny, I was more worried loosing other peoples kids more than my own...totally nerve wrecking! The kids got to look at animals, have a show on plants, ride a tractor to the strawberry field and pick their own strawberries (special thanks to Cory Evans for ruining my "eat the strawberry off the plants" experience, he mentioned people pee on them lol) and they got to have lunch with all of their friends. Talia was able to come along and hang with the big kids, she wanted soooo bad to go on the bus and be a part of the group.
****Special note to Kaelyn...Mom totally volunteered today, just like Tayor and Jacksons mommy does....remember that kid! haha (miss Kaelyn always asks why I don't volunteer like the other mommy's do)

Amazing

Yes I'm probably going to get a beating for this picture but hey it's memories. I was doing some kind of school work or scoping out Pinterest when all of a sudden I heard snoring. You guessed it Jake is completely asleep here, doesn't this look uncomfortable!? I've blogged before about Jake and Kaelyn and how they have fallen asleep in the weirdest positions/places. He finally woke up after 30mins of being in this position and I think it was because I started to laugh due to his snoring getting louder. I love this man and all he does!

Thigh Master!

Apparently leaving your thigh master out can be a bad idea with this little guy on. I have proof for all to see that this little monkey interferes with my workout routine. I mean geese baby jake your mom is trying to look good! After a while of running around laughing at me he did not like that he was stuck, putting this on is easier than taking it off.

ahhhh Today!

Today was an interesting and busy day. Jake worked all night and got home in the morning in time for me to run the girls to school. I had to go to Valley to get the head of the nursing department to sign off on my Chemistry. I still had my doubts on if this lady was really going to help me, I guess I'm just use to no one helping and saying no. When I got to the school she was not their so I headed to the counseling office to talk with a counselor and let them know that I got the approval but instead a lady by the name of Barbera decided to be rude to me and say "I can't help you, I'm too busy with my appointments." Huh, okay! I felt like a little insignificant kid and I became angry and wanted to snap but I figured if I did that then I won't get that paper I need so I made an appointment for later that day and waited for the head of the nursing department to get there. While waiting Talia was a trooper she was really a blessing to have there because I felt sort of alone and I knew she would at least talk with me lol. Finally the lady from the nursing department got there and personally called the counselor and I was able to put my papers in today. It amazes me how many people today showed lack of concern to help or even go out of their way to help. The counselor that was friendly to me on the phone and suggested I talked to the department head was their and I approached her and told her how grateful I was for speaking with her and that it all worked out and to the young lady that noticed I had my little girl with me who went and got a lollipop for her to have while she waited for me. Little things that are just important to do for others and the saying "Do unto others as you would like done unto you."

Fancy Nancy

A while back I was looking online for things for the kids to do and I went on my schools website to see what they have at the performing arts center and there it was FANCY NANCY. Jessica has been reading these books and I thought this might get her more excited to read, so I bought the tickets and I'm glad I did. An hour before the show started they had 5 stations set up for the kids to do crafts such as hats, wings and fancy nancy cut outs. When we went to our seats Jessica and Kaelyn still had no idea why we were there, I kept getting "Mom why are we at your school, do you have a test or are you buying books." My kids have seen me here several times and its not usually for fun! When the show started the kids were laughing and enjoying what I thought was amazing for them, they even had all the parents cracking up. The Milhoan's give two thumbs up!
After the show the staff had juice, milk and cookies for the kids. Next year they plan on putting on more shows for the kids and they secretly told us that it will include a big red dog! awwww Clifford!
I even ran into my Sociology teacher who is amazing, hilarious and one of my favorite teachers. She did ask me about the nursing program and I almost choked up but answered with a smile that I've been denied twice and Valley won't take my Chemistry....again back to square one!

The big 33!

Today is Jake's 33rd birthday and the kids and I needed something fun to surprise him. When he got home the kids and I attacked him with water balloons and squirt guns. We pretty much missed him with every balloon we chucked at him, I blame the balloon. After our ambush we made dad some dinner and sang to him, kaelyn blew out the candle before Jake could get to it.
Next we hopped in the car and took daddy to get a massage at happy foot to get him to relax a bit before Golden Spoon for the topper. It was really nice to have Joe and Amanda along with us, the girls love them.
Well Happy Birthday Mr. Milhoan, I love you to the moon!

My love note

*I just love the Metcalf family, their blogs are hilarious and since we live so far I look forward to her updates. Today I got a love note blog about me on her site, definite smile on my face and I feel blessed to have them as friends....oxoxoxo

Dear Fran,

Heard about your rejection email...
Total bummer. I'm so sorry.

You're in luck though!

I called in a favor to a guy who owed me big.
He gets results and his work is guaranteed.

So don't worry!
You're a total shoo-in for the Nursing Program
next time around!

Love,
Belle ;)

P.S. Okay this one was just too funny not to add...

Happy Easter 2012

The Milhoan's are a busy bunch around the holiday's and we wouldn't have it any other way. Today is Easter and there was tons to do. In the morning we headed to CC2 to be a part of our friends John and Cami and Kim and Oscars baby blessing. John and Kim are brother and sister and we have known them forever, Kim was even one of my bridesmaids in my wedding. After catching up with old friends we headed to our ward; fyi, 4 hours of church is to long! Jake taught our class and I was able to see friends and wish them a Happy Easter. After church is was Castaic bound to see my parents, sister and brother's family. It was a nice time, the kids hunted eggs, we ate till we couldn't move and caught up. I was able to see my sweet niece Katie and her and baby Jake were adorable together, I can't wait for her to be full blown walking. My dad brought out the traditional Cedrinca Italian milk chocolate easter egg with surprise in it. He made the kids draw a number out of a hat and who ever won got the prize.
My brother played with the girls helping them make huge bubbles which the girls were excited to do. My brother can be a big kid at times and the kids go wild. My brother made the girls a gift that I really thought was so cute. He took five dollar bills and made them into something. Jessica got a ring, Talia a heart, kaelyn a duck and baby jake got a jet. In all we had a great day, we are tired and as I type this Jake is is knocked out cold in prayer position snoring....hahaha love him!
