First day of school 2011

Summer went really fast but in a way I'm very glad it's over. The vacation was fun with family and friends and tons of activities but there was only so much I could keep up with.

Jessica and Kaelyn are back in school and this time Jessica is in 2nd grade and Kaelyn is a Kindergartner.

The girls were very excited to go back and Jessica had a hard time sleeping because of it. I read the girls a book and they were off to bed. My mommy duties were not complete yet and lunches and outfits needed to be laid out. Let's face it, I was going to have a hard time waking up too and I didn't want to forget anything.

When we walked into the school gates Kaelyn turned to Jake and said "Daddy, look at all my new friends." If any of you know Kaelyn, you'll know that she is very friendly and loves to play.

Natalia wanted to get into all the excitment and packed her backpack and got dressed as well. Surprisingly she was really good about leaving, I thought she was going to freak out that she was not staying to go to school. On the walk back to the car there was no fighting, it was heaven. Talia played really great with the baby and I got to have a bit of peace till 2:15 :)

The girls told me that they had a great day when I picked them up. I asked Kaelyn if she got into trouble and she said that she got out of line to hug Jessica and Mrs. Evans said "Now Kaelyn you can't get out of line"...lol She said she will stay in line from now on.

Who did they get?

Today at 5pm we were able to find out who the girls got this year for teachers. Kaelyn and I were praying for Mrs. Evans and she got her. The expression on Kaelyn's face when Jake said "ahhh Kaelyn you're in Mrs. Evans class" was just priceless. She turned around and started to jump and smile, it took her a while to say something from all that excitement.

Kaelyn will have about 5 other friends in her class which will be so nice for her to see that familiar face.

Jessica is in Mrs. Nystroms class, I haven't heard anything about her but I'm excited to get to know her and help out this year. Her class has a few students that she is friends with so it will be an easy transition.

Fundraiser

Tonight I was able to attend the Zumba under the lights fundraiser at Canyon High School. It was so much fun and it was for a great cause. I have made some pretty amazing friends going to these classes and I love every minute of it.

Jamie and I sweating our butts of to 2 hours of shaking it!

One of the best instructors I know, Jehane~

Jessica's Art work

I've notice that Jessica's drawings are getting better and better. I don't think I was able to draw like this when I was her age. This is a picture of her Babcia and her. Love this little girl!

Shots

Shots are always something I love taking the kids to go do..NOT! I hate taking them for these visits. This time around it was for Jacob and I had the three girls with me. I wonder why the doctors take so long to come in our room, I think they are standing outside the door laughing at me because all you hear from the room is "Don't touch that, ohhh I'm going to tell the doctor your not listening, don't go on the stool." And then when the doctor comes in the mean mommy voice goes away and I have a smile...haha

Baby Jake is now weighing in at a big 16lbs 9oz. His height is 27.5. The doctor thinks that he will be 6 foot 1 when he gets older.

I swear my son has ants in his pants, the boy can not sit still. When the nurse weighed him he would not lay still and kept sitting up. Then when she went to measure his head he kept grabbing the measuring tape from her hands. As the nurse was getting the measuring tape out of her hands he grabbed her hair. Yes, I should of helped but I was trying to get a picture of this moment haha.

Swimming swimming and more swimming

We have spent alot of time at the pool with my mom. Jessica and Kaelyn have mastered swimming while Talia is good with her floaties...Baby Jake is a stud and loves the water. I sometimes wish I had a pool.

Big Day

Recently I received an email from the nursing department at school giving me the thumbs up to submit my papers. Every time I get an email from the nursing department I start to feel faint. Yes, I admit that I'm a bit nervous. This is a competitive program and I have worked so hard to get here. On August first I was able to turn in my papers to the department. The lady that worked there said that I would hear back in 2 weeks letting me know if I can take the test and if my application is accepted. I think I read over the application like 10 times to make sure that I filled everything out completly. As I dropped the form in the bin I walked out with a huge smile on my face and a sigh of relief.

Two days later I received another email from the nursing department and yes again I got nervous. When I read the words "We have evaluated your application for College of the Canyons RN program and you have qualified to take the ATI TEAS test." I felt relieved, two applications down now I take the test. I'm nervous about the test and I'm not sure how I will do but I pray I pass. So on September 30th at 12:45 please think of me and send some prayers my way that I will pass this test.
