Crazy week

So much has been going on in the last few weeks. I think half of the week is a blur and I couldn't probably tell you what was going on. Kids went back to school and the house has been clean, laundry caught up. Jake was able to get his "TOY," but he deserves it and I'm proud of him. He has had a smile for weeks now! Our friend Jordan whom I grew up with and have known from Elementary school and Jake has known from High school helped us get this beast. Jake has asked his mom to print a sticker that says "Milhoan Madness" for the back of this. My friend Melinda recently got engaged and I am so excited for her, I have been putting together her bridal shower and I am on a roll. We had a dinner to celebrate, defiantly a fun night of laughs. A surprise outing was planned for our friend Becky who is one amazing person. Very big heart, there have been times where I've had a rough day and she would show up with a cake and ask if I want a slice because she was going to every friends house to give them some. I have had the opportunity to get to know her better and am grateful to be her friend.

Blake Ryan Milhoan

Yesterday I went to hang out with my brother inlaw while Amanda was in labor and wow did it bring back memories of my deliveries. They induced labor and it to forever to get this little cutie out. Amanda had a pretty rough time and towards the end had to have a c-section. While she rested Joe and I had some fun and played around with the hospital supplies, the glove cut off circulation to the brain for a while but no one was hurt in the process. Today I had to wait all day to see this handsome boy but it was worth the wait. I would of gone earlier but got stuck doing other stuff and then Jake wanted to go so I waited for him. Blake Ryan was born at 1:03am at 8lbs 5oz 21". He is ADORABLE! Amanda was really sweet and made us feel welcome when we came in and let me hold the baby. I can't wait to spend more time with him. Joe did an amazing job taking care of Amanda and you can tell he is very much excited to be a dad.
Oh and my brother had his kid today too but.........I don't know the name, what time he was born, or what he looks like. I guess they didn't feel that Jake or I were important to share happy news with.

Supercross 2013

Today was a pretty busy day to say the least. Jake and I usually go to Supercross every year with friends but this year was different. In October Jake went back to outside construction and started to work for a new company, little did we know that they own their own racing team and race motocross. The owner called us and asked if we wanted to go and of course we both were excited. Before we went to Anaheim we had to get the kids all arranged and they were able to spend a day with my inlaws. In the morning the kids got to go to Home Depot to build bird houses. I was able to hangout with them before Jake and I left. Clayton did not want to build a house and baby Jake was to young so I took the two boys around the store. I was trying to teach Clayton and baby Jake to say things like "Aunt Fran wants a smoker Uncle Jake," or " Aunt Fran wants a new front door Uncle Jake." After practicing that for a bit Clayton told me "I got this." haha
On our way to Anaheim Jake and I were able to spend time talking about all sorts of stuff..friends, work, kids etc. It was really good to hear his opinion on things without interruptions. When we got to the stadium we were able to watch the qualifiers and then go hang in the pit party section where I got to meet a lot of the company wives and eat. I really really love mom and pop shops because it feels like a family. The bosses son Dakota didn't make it to the main event but is was really great watching him race and ACTUALLY know someone personally riding.

It was freezing cold and Jake and I left right after the last lap of the main event. We couldn't get to our car faster! Looks like we will be going to the next race but this time the kids probably will go too. It was funny because one of the wives asked where our kids were and we told them they stayed home, Jake thought the owner was just being nice offering more tickets for the kids. The wife I was talking to say that they love having the kids there.

New Year

This year New Years was spent in Visalia with the Ball and Evans family. It's seriously really great to spend time with these families, I feel comfortable and welcomed with them. The day started with Jake getting home early and a marker fight breaking out, the kids and I lost the battle. We all had some kind of blue or pink on us when we arrived at the Balls house. The kids were so excited to go on this trip and so was I. The kids had a blast playing! Nicole and I got out and hit the Coach store and did some damage there, it was nice to have my friend Nicole around. It's hard when people that you just click with move, but we try to make effort to see each other when we can, so grateful for them. I was also able to take Nicole's ripped class, all I have to say is I'm still in pain today. The Evans family came on Monday and it was 13 kids and 6 adults in one house, sooooo fun! That night the kids ran around and the moms silly stringed the dads and to top it off I was introduced to Duck Dynasty's. The day we left the dad's  took the kids to play, now you would think they would take them to a park, ha nope! Instead they took them to an open field and used the tractors as a jungle gym.
2013 started bumpy with Jake in the hospital but I'm grateful for all the memories. I have strong friendships that are very important to me. I've learned lessons and helped others, I hope that 2013 brings everyone joy and happiness.

Christmas

Christmas is always a busy day for us and this year we paced ourselves. In the morning we opened gifts with our family then headed to my parents for some breakfast and presents. Jake and I both agreed that my parents house was less stressful, this was the first year I didn't spend Christmas with my brother. Don't have much to say about that! After my parents we went to Cindy and Russ's house, the presents were very much appreciated and thoughtful. After 10 years of "Cindy, could you sew this for me," I got a sewing machine...so excited! I am so grateful for my family and the spirit of Christmas was very much enjoyed with family and friends.
