Busy Busy Busy

This weekend was pretty busy for us. Jake was suppose to go to a work meeting but decided to hang out with us. First we started off at my friend Debbie's son's birthday party at the "Oh so fun Scooter's Jungle". The kids loved it! There is fun for all ages at that place. After that party we went over to are friend Genine and Pat's son's party at the Todd Longshore park. The kids got to set out on an adventure with Captian Colton on a treasure hunt for GOLD. It was such a beautiful day outside and we where able to hang with friends and enjoy a beautiful day.

Are night didn't end there, we got to go later on to our friends Debbie and Jason's house to watch the UFC fight. Jake and I love watching the fights and even better with great company. I tried to bring my homework to study but yeah I liked the conversations with my friends better...lol (shhhh don't tell my math teacher that).

It has been WONDERFUL with Jake home on the weekend's. Instead of me taking the girls to do things on the weekend I now have my bestfriend to hang out with us as well.

Arrrr....Pirate costume's

Tonight my mom and sister came over to help me make pirate skirts for the girls. Next weekend we are going to Jake's cousin's little boys birthday party. And EVERYONE has to dress up...I didn't want to go out and spend a ton on costumes so I used my imagination and came up with an idea. I went to Joann's and bought black material with pirate skulls on it. I am making skirts and vests out of it (with a white shirt underneath). Then I'm using pink tulle for a belt that will tie around their waste and drape down one of the sides. I got little pirate hats with pink ribbon. I think all together I spent $25. I'm excited to go, it's something out of the ordinary and I think that is what will make it fun. I will have some picture's up soon for everyone to see....

My sister went above and beyond and painted one of Natalia's bottle's and on one of the sides it says "GOT RUM??". She was cracking me up!

Money!

Today I was determinded to get things done that I have procrastinating on. One of my todo's was to open an account at the bank up for Natalia and deposit all the kids money that they get from my parents. So I took ALL 3 of them to the bank and proceeded to do this....STRESSFUL but accomplished. It took a while to convince Jessica that she will get her money back when she is older and that the lady was not going to keep it forever....Then she wanted to negotiate with me on if she can keep a little bit of it to buy candy. haha...My parents would always tell me to "Save your money" (imagine those words from my italian father and his accent) I love my parents for showing me the value of the dollar, I can be a stickler with money but hey I would not be where I am today if I didn't save and work hard. Jake and I want to teach our girls young to save there money.

So after all the negotiation and promising Jessica that the money will be hers one day we handed the lady the money and went on our way.

Jessica was able to fill out her own deposit slip and she wrote her name like this:

JE$$ICA

Here is a picture of her and her deposit slip....

Never give up on your dreams

A friend of mine put up a blog about people who "judge other's by their cover's" and it is so true. She inspired me to write about something I think is important as well, that is never giving up on your dream. Many go on with their lives saying things like "I wish I would of went to school and finished my degree" or "I've always wanted to do that, but never had the time"....Watching a clip from Britain's Got Talent I saw a man who works at a phone salesman and has this amazing talent that he is finally showing the world what he can do. He lacked confidence but now that he has gone out on a limb he achieved his goal.

I want to incourge people out there to live your dream, it may be hard to acheive it, but it will be well worth it. I have been going to school for a year now and I can't even tell you how much I have studied, cried and have wanted to give up. But I look at the big picture and it makes me so excited and encourages me to keep going and not give up.

Carpenteria

For spring break my mother inlaw Cindy was able to get a site at Carpenteria State Beach. I love going here, the camp grounds are clean and I feel safe there. Jake was able to come every night and stay with us. The kids were in heaven there, they where the Woodhouse twins shadows. I came home early with Kaelyn and Natalia and Jessica stayed with Grandma. I love the camping but not with my sweet little Talia. She moves way to much and apparently likes to laugh and have a conversation at 3am. One of the nights I had to sleep in the truck because she was being way to loud.

Jake has now decided that we need a camper....woo hoo! I am actually excited about it. He always laughs at me because he thinks I hate camping and I get stressed ever time I go...Haha I get stressed daily! I love going camping with his family, it gets hectic with the kids at times but we get great pictures and wonderful memories.

Conference

Today we had the pleasure of watching Conference on television. We had Jake's parents come over and watch the second half....The girls love seeing them! Towards the end of confrence Jessica asked for the camera so I gave it so her and this is the picture she took....Sorry Grandma and Grandpa...Jake and I tried to stop her :)
Jake and I love Conference because it gives us a chance to not only spend time with the people we love but enjoy amazing talks by church leaders.
P.S Don't kill me for this picture, Jessica did it.....we love you.
