Black eye

Today we went to my friend Jasmine's mom's funeral. It was a hard day for everyone and it was not fun saying goodbye. I met my friend Jasmine back in high school at Valencia High School. We became really good friends and soon became sort of a part of their family. Her mother Marta was amazing, she always treated me a daughter not just Jasmine's friend. I use to beg my parents to let me go over their house to spend the night. I remember a time when I got to sleep over and we all thought it would be cool to sneak out of the house and go Tee peeing. Jasmine went to her mom's room to ask if we could sneak out (kinda defeats the purpose right?) and her mom said sure but you have to do it right and climb out the window....lol I have such wonderful memories of her.

After the funeral Jake, kids and I went back to Jasmine's stepdad's house for food and Kaelyn decided to play with Jessica by a swinging chair. I figured that they were okay and then I hear Kaelyn start to cry. My friends husband grabbed her and brought her over to me. Let's just say that she looks like she got into a fight. Her eye is black and blue. I tried to get her to put ice on it but she said "I wanna go play momma." She is our little boxer I swear.

Disneyland AGAIN....

Disneyland June 09

My parents decided to take a trip to good old Disneyland and invited me and the girls to go. Jake had to work and I really never get to spend time with my parents. My mom and dad don't do much so when they say let's go do something I jump right on it and go.

We had so much fun, it brought back so many memories of when I was a kid and my parents took us. My dad loves to complain and my mom goes with the flow...lol I love them so much and I am grateful for them in my life. It was funny to watch my dad with the girls, when I was little and we went to Disneyland my dad would always say "after lunch you can get any treat you want." So after lunch was done Jessica went with her papa and she got what ever treat she wanted. She even lost the treat and my dad walked half way thru the park to get her another one. He has a weak heart when it comes to his grand daughter's.

Jessica is at the 40 inch mark and can ride almost everything in the park except Indiana Jones. Since the lines where short we got on rides really fast. Jessica and my dad went on Slash mountain, Big Thuner Mountain and Soaring over California (at california adventures). It was funny, she was so brave and it was cute to see them hand in hand in line to get on. I tried to get her on Tower of Terror but that didn't go well, my dad said it was to scary for her....What she just went on Slash Mountain!

In all it was a great day and I am thankful that I was able to go!

Mother daughter time!

On Thursday I took Jessica to go get a pedicure with me at a local nail shop. It was so relaxing, with finals and my friends mom's passing I needed a break. Jessica was so excited, the ladies were pampering her as if she was a princess. It was really cute! She had the biggest smile on her face. She was able to pick out nail polish, which she picked orange with sparkels.

It was nice to spend time with her and do something fun and relaxing :)
Oh and I got metallic blue!

Kindergarten program....

Our soon to be Kindergartener!!!!

Today I took Jessica to her soon to be school for the Kindergarten program. We got to hear the Kindergarteners sing and then the unpcoming kids got to go into a classroom and have a story and movie. Kaelyn got to go along....she really wants to go to school. When she starts she will be going to all day Kindergarten which is from 7:45am to 2:15, I don't know if I should be happy or sad about that....

Our friends the Evans were there because their little girl is in Kindergarten, so it was a treat for Jessica to see a familiar face. Jessica was just in awww with the performance.

I have to say when they showed the slideshow of the kids and them thru the school year I started to cry...I was not expecting to be emotional. I can't believe how fast the year went and that my little Jessica is going to be going to Kindergarten soon.

I asked her if she was excited to go and she just gave me the biggest smile and said "Yes mommy". After the program we met up with the Ball family for a quick lunch at Olive Garden...yummmm...The kids were having a blast climbing on the water fountain! :)

Fry's electronics

Have you ever been to Fry's? Well I had to buy a tape recorded for on Biology class and I had a credit there. That place is so neat! Kaelyn and Natalia fell asleep but Jessica loved it. They has so much to look at. I always carry my camera so I got some picture's of her with Darth Vader and the Giant ant....There was so much to see but we where in a hurry.

Last Class!

About a couple of years ago I put Jessica in tumbling classes with Gym Cheer and at first she was a little shy and would not go without crying. Soon she warmed up to the idea and did great. We found out about these classes in the Season's catalog that the city puts out. Well they had this class again and I enrolled Kaelyn.

Last friday was Kaelyn's last tumbling class....Towards the end of the class the kids put on a demonstration of what they learned...Kaelyn was kinda in her own little world but she loved going. I enrolled her for more classes to keep her active :)

Just hanging in the car before Kaeyln's tumbling class!

So the kids and I were a little early to Kaelyn's tumbling class so I had Jessica sing to me the song that her class sang to the mom's on mother's day..... enjoy :)
