Rylee's baptism

Tonight was our friends the Deleon's daughters baptism. Rylee has played soccer with Jessica and we have got to know the family pretty well. They are really great people to hang out with, always a fun time with them. The Evans family were there too and it's always a party when they are around. The kids alway play so well together and I get to hang and talk with Laurel.
This week has made me stop and think about my kids so much lately. I've noticed that they play well with other kids and enjoy seeing their friends any chance they get. It fills my heart and I sit here now and smile.  I've always said that I want my kids to get close to others and to make memories with families like ours. I think that wish has come true and I've developed great bonds along with my kids.

Dolla movies

Dollar movies are the best but not fun with an 18month old. Jake worked a overnight shift but I was able to get him out of the house to come see Puss and Boots the movie. We met friends and stood in the long lame line, got the popcorn and 30mins into the movie baby Jake went all Hulk crazy on us. I had to take him for a car ride so we hit up Starbucks and got some chocolate milk and let daddy and the girls enjoy the movie...Next year, maybe? lol

Swimming Swimming and more Swimming

I feel like we have lived in our bathing suits for days now. I even went today to go get another set of suits for the kids because I can wash them fast enough. I swear that if my kids say we didn't do anything this summer there will be blood. We went to the aquatic center and I haven't been there in years but my friend Kelly called and I figured, why not. Talia loved it so much because she could touch the ground and she was all smiles. My friend Rachel was able to come with her little ones and it was nice. Today a friend of mine took the kids to Hurricane Harbor, it was a good time hanging with her and her daughter but the sun was really getting to me. I felt like my face was burning and due to the overcast it was horrible. We decided to leave and go to the kids favorite spot, Souplantation! Yumm and the best part was baby Jake slept the whole time haha.

The twins turn 3

The twins are 3! Crazy how time flies and they grow up to be little beauties. I remember when they were born and I was able to hold them. They were born early and if I remember correctly they were only a pound when I held them in my arms.Today was the twins party and we had some outdoor water fun. Thank goodness for the waterside Jake bought years ago, talk about coming in handy. The kids had a blast and the girls were super star princesses for sure. Jake was not able to come due to some surgery but the kids and I went and enjoyed the day. I took a picture of Jessica next to the Aurora cut out I made years ago when it was her birthday party, she has grown so much into a little lady, she makes me proud!

Dinner with the birthday girl Raeanne

This family is so fun to hang out with!!! Everytime we get together it's full of laughs and good memories made. Raeanne invited us to her birthday dinner down in Rowland Heights and we were able to go. The kids had a blast and got to hang out with her two kids Alyssa and Nathan. I love how they make our family feel so welcomed and how they don't get annoyed with my kids, its a blessing really to have them in our lives. Jake and I needed this little outing, I feel like our lives have been all work and no play, with him working so much we don't get time together and it was nice to have a meal just next to him. Baby Jake was the party pooper, he did not want to sit down. Ahhhh frustration but all our kids did this, the age of "Going to dinner with an 18month old sucks." we gave him the paper hat and he was good, I think he got a few swigs of my diet coke.

Dang it!

Jake 24 out from the call out from 4th of July and I came home to beautiful orange roses ( my favorite) and a sleeping husband. It is AWESOME, but I think he wanted to strangle me after this one. Jessica called me from the other room with "Mom come look." And this was the outcome of that call, Jessica with nail polish and a snoring daddy. Yes, he made her take it off with the nail polish remover but it was fun to watch him chase her when he woke up.

Happy 4th

4th of July was spent in the SCV this year, we had plans to go see one of our closest friends the Balls but due to getting the boat together we stayed in town. My friends were running a 5k on the 4th and thank goodness for their motivation and the last minute registration I was able to run with them. The night before we tie dyed shirts in the red white and blue color to be "patriotic"and it was a great night. Fun just being goofy and laughing was a much needed medicine due to all the crazy weeks of entertaining the kids. I was a bit nervous when we showed up at the race, I felt like it was the first day of school and I didn't know what to expect. When we were instructed to go I was like "Oh crap, what did I get myself into?" I felt so intimidated by people watching and there were plenty of times I wanted to walk but I kept going and didn't stop. My time was 30min 33sec! I was shocked, I was not training for this and I was proud. Proud I did it and proud of my friends and their accomplishments as well.

After the race Jake's phone rang and two seconds later my phone was going off. that only means ARCO is calling for a call out. Jake was working on the boat in the morning and of course was not done and had to leave. It was me and the kiddos, what to do so I don't go crazy? We go to grandmas for dinner, face painting and treat making. After we headed to Todd Longshore park to meet our friends for fireworks. It was fun till baby Jake decided to run around like a crazy man and it made me nervous with the amount of people around so we headed to the car and with Jakie in the carseat the girls and I watched the rest of the fireworks in the parking lot.
