School pictures

I didn't buy the pictures from the school but I did take a picture of them! Ha I know, I know I think they charge too much but I wanted to keep some kind of memory of them. These kids are getting so big. This morning they told me I need another baby in the house, I told them to tell their dad that!

Mud Run 2014

I'm so glad I signed the kids up for the Mud Run, so glad Nikki let me know about the event. I was worried that the kids would not like it and have a hard time running but I was wrong. Talia and Corrine did so well, watching them had Nikki and I cracking up. After Talia was done she asked to do it again. Jessica, Kaelyn and Taylor did the mile run and I wasn't sure if the mile was too long but the girls did great and I didn't have any complaints. While the older girls ran Nikki's mom took Talia and Corrine to rock climb, when I looked back I got a glimpse of Talia at the top of the rock wall, I have to say that Talia is really surprising me in doing it with no fear.
Hanging with the Pollards was a perfect Sunday outing and I really cannot wait to do this again. I got the times of the girls runs:
Jessica 24/40 at 20:50
Kaelyn 15/30 22:44
Till next year!

Spring break todo's

This week off started with a bang! Soccer, wedding setup, women's conference all in one day. Soccer was bright and early and cold, but Jessica did an awesome job. I think she has improved so much. A friend called me that day to ask if we could meet for lunch and talk nursing, so I went and I'm glad I did. It's nice to hear how others are doing in their venture and be able to relate to what they are having troubles in. . After the game we headed to Cindy's. I love weddings and helping out with the set up, so when Cindy mentioned she was doing one, I had to go. The arrangements were amazing and the location was perfect. I wasn't going to go to the woman's conference but I did. I didn't have anything ready for clothes and after trying to navigate jake thru my closet I decided to to a quick run to Old Navy and get a skirt and a shirt and treat my sister inlaw to one also and head to the church. I wasn't able to get much out of the talks, due to being late but it was nice to see people I know from other wards.
Easter Bunny was on our list of todo's, Baby Jake was very nervous at first but then Jessica picked him up and said "It's okay, he has candy," all was fine. We have officially hit the no crying when we see Santa, and Bunny stage.
Jake got this crazy idea to take the kids on a bike ride so we loaded their bikes and took them for a ride to Vons, they did good and Jake had to pick the two younger kids up a few times but we made it!
Kaelyn will be baptized soon so of course we need a fabulous dress, we tried to go to out local mall and well noting was good so Laurel and I hit the Burbank mall and found a really nice one for her. We had Cole come for the ride and he felt it was a thumbs up choice~~~~!

OB rotation is a wrap!

What a semester!!! I have learned so much in OB/Couplet care. Today was the final and Im not going to lie, I'm a bit bummed because I was 3 points from an A in the class. I started to rush thru the test because I knew that when I hit submit I was free for a week in a half. I kick myself! This is the OCD that comes out in me. I ended the first half of the semester with an A in professionals and B in OB. I'm so grateful to all that has encouraged me, supported me and my family, that have let me cry on their shoulder and loved me. I don't know how I would of done it without them. I have another 8 weeks till summer is here and I just pray to make it thru, med/surg is hard and Im scared but I know Im meant to do this so it drives me to move forward.

Church

The other day I was asked to teach in primary and I was hesitant but I said yes. Not that I don't love the kids or anything but its because my life right now is really busy and I cannot add anymore to my plate than I have. I sat back and said to my self "you need to do this." Then Sunday morning I was at a study session before church and I get a phone call saying "Fran, I know you're studying. Sorry to bug you but I was wondering if you could take my class with the other class you're teaching today?" haha I said yes! I know people have stuff to do and I put myself in other shoes. I was going to show a movie so I figured that it would not be a problem. I finished my study group session and headed home to a hubby that was leaving to work, kids not dressed, and now a dog. My anxiety kicked in and tried not to cry. When I got to church the kids were fighting like crazy of a dumb pencil, and not listening. Everything was working against me. Vicki saw that I was not myself and started talking to me, she knows what I'm going thru and just kept saying she understood. My attitude at church was not good!
When I got to the first half of class I  was ready for the set mind that the kids were going to be crazy so it is what it is. I said a little prayer in my head that I can be guided to do the best and work with the kids. The kids were amazing and sat nicely thru singing time. When we went to class I had stuff for them to work on and put a movie on. I told the kids if they were good I had candy to give out for the children who payed attention and could tell me what was going on in the movie. They did great! Jackson hooked his friends up with a play by play of what was going on so everyone could get candy.

Im not going to lie, its hard when Jake is not there but Im glad I was able to help out some sisters with their classes. One more week and I get a break for a week, I need that mental break and I want to just spend time with my kids!!!!

Saugus soccer

Jessica's first game was fun to watch, she made 2 goals  and the score ended with 4-0. I signed her up with Saugus district to keep her skills going. Her team is The Cherry Bombers!
