Kaelyn's preschool graduation

Kaelyn graduated preschool on Wednesday and they had a little ceremony for the kids. Grandma and Grandpa were there and Kaelyn was so excited. She had been going to this preschool for 9 months and has learned ALOT. Proud of our litte girl!

One day old and I got to cuddle for a few minutes with this sweet baby girl.

On May 24th my neice Katie was born! Really excited for my brother and his wife and their new cute little bundle. I got to meet her minutes after she was born and I have to say she is adorable. It was finals week and I was in the hall waiting for that cutie to be born while studying for my last A&P test.

I'm hoping that my kids will be close with their cousin and will be able to meet her soon. Right now Kellie and Lorenzo are gettting use to being parents and need their time.

Sister Shelley Stratton

Today at church I was sad to hear that a wonderful woman had past away. Sister Stratton was always the one to come and say hello or compliment someone when she saw them. She was actually my daughter Jessica's teacher at church. A couple of days ago I got a missed call on my phone from a number that I didn't recognize, usually I don't call back but that day I did. When I called back to see who called a familiar voice on the other side said "Hi Fran!", it was sister Stratton. She was calling to tell me that she was not going to be Jessica's teacher anymore because she was sick and she didn't want to miss so many days and have it effect the kids. She wanted me to tell Jessica that she loved her and wants Jessica to come and give her hugs still. I was taken back but very appreciative of her calling me.

I was going to share the story but I felt that I would not be able to make it through the story. I only ask that people love my kids and what Shelley did was just that. I received a letter addressed from Shelley just the other day that read:

Dear Jessica

I am so sad I don't get to be your Primary teacher anymore. I have been sick a lotut the doctors are helping to make me better. I sure loved having you in my class. You were always so reverent and helpful. Please come up to me when you see me at church. I always loved your big hugs and would still love your hugs when I see you! I am very proud of you and love you so much!

I want you to know tha tI have a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father and Jesus love us very much. They want us to feel that love and feel happy. All we have to do is pray and ask for help and choose the right (CTR) and we will be happy!

I'm going to miss her so much! She is one of the many that make going to CC2 enjoyable and she has always been kind to me and my family...God be with you till we meet again!

Happy birthday Jessica

Happy 7th birthday Jessica...Mom and dad love you!

All the kids gathered around her to sing Happy Birthday to her. She was so shy!

Happy birthday Jessica! Today we had a party for Jessica and she loved it. We played hot potato, a balloon game and freeze dance. The games went really well but Miss Talia did not like loosing the hot potato game, she came in the house crying so I, of course made it all better with some candy. The kids were so happy and didn't want to stop playing the games, we even played some of the games more than once. This year the weather was cloudy and usually is it sooooo hot.

I love mother's day! Being a mom is a great gift that I have been given, to raise 4 amazing children that are apart of Jake and I is a blessing. Jake and I have some great mother's whom have been a positive influence in our lives and have shaped us to be successfull individuals. In church today I was able to sit back and listen to the words of the speaker and it touched me. A comment by one of the speakers was so true, moms never give up on their kids and that they will do anything, even putting their needs on hold for their children. That is so true in many ways, I always think of myself last and tend to their needs first. My children are everything to me and I hope that I am a good example in their lives.

I was able to go to a mother's day program with my favorite blondie Kaelyn. It was really sweet and I enjoyed spending some one on one time with her. I kept getting teary eyed with the poems and stories that her teacher Miss Cindy was reading. It's amazing how much time flies and your children get older so fast. I got to do some crafts with her and was able to watch the butterflies that hached be released.

History has been made

As I was filling out my flash card for my A&P test I started to notice posts rapidly going up on facebook saying "Osama bin Laden is dead." At first I was not sure of what was going on and I turned the news on and sure enough there was the President announcing that the US did succesfully complete a mission where they killed and now have his body. I know America is now celebrating because of this justice and the families that lost loved ones on September 11, 2001 are feeling a little peace from this news. I remember the day that September 11th and I got goose bumps just watching the news and seeing the footage of the planes crashing into the towers. I remember seeing people that were apart of these attachs cheering and celebrating this horrific act on US soil. I felt angry and I wanted justice! I am VERY grateful for the men and women that serve our country.
