Ventura County Fair

shhhhh, yes I read these books. And I would read them again...hahaha
I received several text messages about this picture. Some how my face is on the side of a ride. Fun times!
I was so excited to go the the fair this year. Hunter Hayes was singing and Laura and I were all giggles about it. My mom, sister and Kelsey came down to go. It didn't work out the way I wanted it to but all that mattered was I that I got to make memories. Hunter Hayes was okay in concert, he was bouncing around like he was on crack, made me tired to watch. We ate like there was no other, I think I had corn on the cobb, pretzel, and a corn dog that was HUGE. I feel Fat! Joe and Amanda showed up and we got to do a bunch of rides with them. Cindy and Jen joined us and we watched the kids bounce around in excitement with all that is going around. My mom I found out got hypnotized, it would of been fun to see but ya know I wasn't invited hahaha whats new! Laura was my buddy for the night and I have to say what a great person, she is so easy to talk to and I love her presence. The kids call her Aunt Lola :)

Last day at the beach

This is called move your tent. This usually makes people take a double take.
Evans family came to see us on friday, miss my friends so much. I told a friend of mine that being away from home is like moving away, I don't like it!
Laura is working on her tan lines, she is going to be so DARK!
Who needs chips, just eat the dip from the cup. Baby Jake doesn't waste any time.
You know what this picture means? Mom and daddy get ice cream and they don't.

Baptism and Birthday for Bella

I'm pretty much going backwards on this blog, so much goes on in my busy family life that trying to catch up and keep in order has not been easy. Saturday was Bella's baptism and birthday party, this has been a planned event for months and Melinda gave me the weekly phone calls to make sure I will be there. She knows me so well, I forget and get dates mixed up all the time. Jake took the boy to Archer's to get the Cougar pulled apart, Jake says that the baby was content in getting dirty and loved helping his daddy. I went to the baptism with the girls, it was so nice to be a part of this day. Bella looked adorable and did so well. I was asked to give the closing prayer (thanks Mel), my heart was in my throat. Afterwards we all went to the house for food and some swimming, it was nice to catch up with everyone and have some relaxing time with great food and conversation.

Things to do

My friend Nicole did this project with her kids because she wanted some wall art for her house. I loved Loved Loved the idea so I did it myself with the kids. I swear when I pass by it I smile and at times I stare at it, I think it came out great. We had to take a trip to the doctor because I thought Talia had a UTI. NOPE, the stinker is fine and the doctor gave me some tips on what to do with her. Ever sit in the doctor's waiting room with 4 kids....hahaha SO MUCH FUN! NOT! Kids are drawn to the floors in those rooms, seriously freaks me out. I know what falls on floors there, YUCK!

All in one day!

I finally got my certificate from COC, I was getting worried it was lost in the mail. But BAM graduated with Honors! Earlier that day we went to the gun show, note to self, Jake wants everything there. The kids had fun and there was a lot to look at. Jake got me a taser so when I run or go somewhere late at night I have protection.
I called Laurel later on when we got home to see what they were up to and they invited us up for swimming and dessert. The kids had a blast and Laurel, Jill and I had fun girl talk.

More of Kaelyns party

These are just a few more pictures from Kaelyn's party. My mother in law and I are camera ninjas!

Life and it's crazy day!

Hurricane Harbor was on the agenda for the kids but we hit some bumpy waters. It started with my sister's cap falling off her tooth so we took a ride to the dentist together to get that done quick, 2 hours later she was done. I did of course have a lot of laughs with my sister, we are very similar in personality. It's sad how far apart we are in age, I think at times that is why we have bumped heads in the past. She's leaving to start a new job in the bay area and it hasn't hit me that hard yet but I know it will when she leaves.
Hurricane Harbor was horrible, the line to get in took 35mins, then there was no seats, the kids were hungry. We finally put our hands up in the air and said "Lets go!" We got on the bus and on the way back my sister, mom and I all had the same thought in out minds.
Jake has been working nights all week and I didn't want to go home so I took the two younger kids and went to hang with my friends Melissa. It was great, the kids played and we sat outside in the cool air and just talked. We talked about the past, what's aggravating us, and just laughed and laughed.
