Talia's Christmas party
Today was her Christmas party at school where she was able to get a book, do crafts, and eat tons of goodies. Baby Jake an I went to join in the fun, most of the time jake was in the tool section playing and climbing into things.
Big 1
Things he can say:
That (points into the air)
Core (our dogs name)
Please (sounds more like peas)
Thank you (dank you)
Dad (says this a lllll day long)
Mom (says mom but calls me dad too)
Interview with a one year old:
So Jake how does it feel to be one? Blank stare and looks away
Who's your favorite sister? Blank stare and looks away..Kaelyn chimes in and says that it's her.
Do you like being one? Blank stare then starts to babble
What do you want to be when you get older? Starts to babble immediately and laugh ..I will translate! "Mom, I want to be like my daddy and be a lineman".
There you have it our big one year old!

Holiday party

Every year I'm invited to a all woman's party and my dear friend Patty Patovich's house. Her home is such a beautiful sight, with Christmas trees in nearly every room decorated to perfection. I look forward to going every year to mingle with ladies from the ward and most of all see my good friends. This year one of my friends Rachel whom I come know very well was there, have you ever met someone and clicked with them? Well Rachel is the best!
It's funny because my friends Melissa and Jodie (Patty's daughter) always take a picture infront of the tree, every year one of us is prego or heavy set...hahaha this year no one is pregnant and we have maintained our weight..yeah us!

Jessica

I have to say this post is not my normal funny, crazy posts. Yesterday opened my eyes to something I think would bother any parent; something that makes you take a step back and say "I feel horrible." My daughter Jessica was brushed aside by another family member and I went along with it as if Jessica did something wrong. It wasn't till later I realized my daughter did nothing wrong, I was just not paying attention to what actually happened. Jessica was trying to give this family member a peice of paper with a little note. Today I asked Jessica if she still had the note and she saved it and said to me while she handed it to me "Mom do you think I can give it to her now, or is she still too busy?" I wanted to cry and I can still see my daughters eyes from yesterday looking at me confused to what she did wrong.
I still feel horrible but I've decided to make and write and i will be handing the letter to the person Jessica wanted to deliver it to and appologize to my daughter for not sticking up for her. I guess this is a lesson learned, people our children are innocent and want love, don't brush them off like they are nobody...just listen and love them!
