Tuesday

Today was a busy day but fun! I got to have the Anderson kiddos over in the morning and after school. I love love love how they are happy to come over. Before we left for drop off I was asked to paint little Andi's nails after school, she had a smile ear to ear. The two double mint twins (Cole and Jake) were very talkative and asked for a chocolate milk run at Starbucks. I think there was some high quality sugar in that box because they were wired. After school I get to hang with the Evans kids and since Jake was home I left the 3 boys with him and got the older kids. My girls are now doing AR testing after school so we hung out and waited for them to be finished and after we took a quick trip to VONS for some ice-cream. Love these kids to pieces and glad I get time with them.
A girl in the nursing program that I am not fond of posted a Facebook post about how she has no food and she needs help. Her and I have some differences and she was not a good classmate to me back in first semester but that aside I cannot let someone fall when I can provide. My friend and I contacted the teacher and told them we wanted to help so I got some food together and will be dropping it off at the front office for the girl. I told them I didn't want to be known, I think its better that way and I hope this helps her. Just because two people don't get along doesn't mean that we can't be civil.

SOOOOOOO nursing school

I have a pretty hard teacher this semester and I have been having a pretty hard time with it. The anxiety is so thick you could cut it with a knife. I'm sure that I'm not fun to be around lately. It's not that I get yelled at but the condescending tone is not bare able at times. I was told today not to wear my wedding ring and to get a single band and I was hurt about it because its my wedding ring and I should be able to wear it. Cindy brought some much needed cookies over the other night it means a lot, she has been so great in helping me with the kids.
Last night I said a prayer to ask for a good day and that I would not have a hard time. Now mind you this was 9:30pm and I was ready to go to bed. I had been preparing for the next day and it took me a while to get my paperwork in order for the patient I was going to be caring for. About 10mins after the prayer my phone dinged and it was my teacher switching my assignment to another patient. After I spent hours prepping for someone else I needed to go back in my office to look up other meds and prepare new paperwork. I was so upset! At clinic today it went well, I didn't have such a hard time and I didn't cry so God defiantly did answer my prayers. The nurse we worked with was very nice and she put a smiley face on my paperwork and just that little gesture made my day.
Baby Jake goes to Rachels on fridays and what a blessing to feel calmness that my son is in a good place with people I trust. I cannot thank her enough for loving my children and supporting me with my schooling.

Today

Today I had to work at an urgent care unit. I went into today kind of bummed because I'm missing out on a family vacation and Im not happy with it. At the unit I was in I thought it was going to be a great day no drama no stress but it was not great. I can't wait to have these last two semesters done!

kaelyns baptism

This was such a special day, kaelyn was baptized on August 9th. So many family and friends came and Im so grateful for their love. My dad and mom shocked me with how the mingled and talked with everyone. They can seem stand offish and hard to warm up but they were great. Kaelyn was awesome and did a great job. Jake baptized her and I could see the proud look in his face. I had to give a few words about Kaelyn and I really was not excited to go in front of everyone but for my kids I will do anything.

yeahhhh back to school

First day back to to school and we are in 3rd semester nursing school. Today we had a math test and if you don't get a 90% you have to retake it. You get only 3 trys! Here is the email from the teacher: "Congratulations!  You passed the math test with 90%." I would of got the 100% but when I went to ask the teacher a question on the problem I got "no, figure it out!" Great start to meeting my new teacher.

This our Wong Baker face for the day! On the scale from one to ten this is a 10. 10 being the worst!

I had clinic in the morning then 2 soccer practices and I missed back to school night. I know I can't do everything but I was bummed not to make it to the school so see my kids projects. I really pray that all goes well for my semester. Im ready to be done and graduated already, the stress is not fun. Makes me want to be a teacher so that other students don't have to go through what I do.

First soccer game of the season

We usually try to get the number 5 every year and we have been lucky to get it. My sister played basketball for years and her number was 5 and I thought it would be fun for them to get that number.
This is some of the girls on the team. This year we got lucky and know two of the girls really well.
Love these two ladies, both amazing friends and moms.
Doesn't this just make you smile. Gunner is such a great friend to Jake and I love watching them hang out.
Laurel had a shirt on today that I needed so I went and got one made and they game me one for baby Jake. This season is going to be fun. Today was hot and I was not prepared, the kids cleaned me out of snacks even before we got to the field. I will be ready for tomorrow..whoop whoop!

Jake Owen at the fair

I never realized how close the beach was to the fair.
This little boy cracks me up. He is always willing to give me love.
I guess baby Jake grabbed the pringles prop for the picture. BTW no fish where injured in this picture but they sure got a ton of sour cream and onion pringle chips to munch on.
Take that monkey backpack! Fallyn was not fond of the monkey harnest. I thought is was hilarious, she would tug on it to obtain her freedom. When Cindy stepped on "the tail" I could not stop laughing. I have always had mixed feelings on the backpack leash thing. I never owned one but I can see why parents would want to use it.
Thank goodness for the older kids that can ride with the younger ones. Jessica loved riding with the kids.
Jake Owen was the performer for the night, it was so cold. So far our favorite concert this summer was Little Big Town.
