2012 Carpenteria Camping is defiantly one for the books this year. I have to say it was a little hard for me this year with 4 kids and no husband to help me. We love going on this trip every year and I look forward to a great week with family and friend. It was hard being in 4 different places and having much help, I recruited Laura to help me a bit because I couldn't do it without a second pair of hands to do stuff. Anyways the kids had a blast playing in the ocean and there was sand in places we cannot talk about. Natalia hung out with her buddy Brielle and they were Frick and Frack, I thought it was awesome that they were able to hang out and got along so well. The weather was perfect, no clouds in sight. This year Cindy's brother Allen and family came for the week and it was the first time I was able to meet them, they were really nice and it was nice getting to know a little bit about them. Jake was able to come one night and it was like Christmas for me, he helped me shower the kids and feed them. On the trip we did get to go to Santa Barbara pier, we walked around and took pictures and hung out for a bit.
Kaelyn tried out Skim boarding and was determined to master it, thanks to Adam for having the patience to deal with her persistent attitude. She was just loving every minute that Adam spent helping her with it. The kids also got to do Jr. Rangers, this is were they got to learn how about animals and do crafts. Carpenteria has never disappointed me! Can't wait for next year, but this time Jake better be there to spend time with us :)

Farewell talk
Today was Russ and Cindy's farewell talk at the CC2 ward. I can't believe how close they are till leaving and it really is going too fast for my liking. The talks were amazing and I'm glad I got to be there. Cindy put me in tears at the end of her talk and it took all of me not to let out the uncontrolable cry and look like a baby. I kept looking around to avoid the crazy crying and it did't work well because other members kept looking at me with a kind smile, that made me cry more.Russ's talk was amazing as well and from both their lessons I learned so much I didn't know before ...The Sorensons, Joy (cindy's cousin) and Elsie (cindy's aunt) came to hear the talk and join up for lunch. So the count down is on and 12 more days till my inlaws leave for their mission!!!!!

Farewell Johnsons
The Johnson family farewell was at the park yesterday and it took alot not to be emotional. Jake and I have had the pleasure of having Scott in our class. This boy is amazing in so many ways, he listened in class, answered questions, was helpful. Such a heart of gold! I even liked when he would call me out on the days I would have to teach..."sister milhoan, we are watching a video again." Thanks Scott for that! The kids got to play and it was nice to see people go out of their way for them. Nikki set up the event and she shows such care for others which is a blessing. I found extra water balloons and was determined to help cool off the kids. The dumb faucet was shooting out hot water which was no bueno so I had to fill the ice chest with ice cubes to cool it down...The heat has been sucky!

Grandbaby number 8
Grandbaby number 8 will be born in the beginning of September!!! It's crazy how times have past and families have formed over the years. I have the pleasure of being an aunt/cocia and I couldnt be happier. Today was Jennifers baby shower at sister Beals home, it was really sweet of her to do the shower and of course did a wonderful job. The food was AMAZING, she must of known I love quiche. haha My little twinzies were there go I got some cuddle time with them, they have gotten so big and I love their little voices. When they first came in the house they ran up to me saying "aunt Fran" seriously melting my heart. The cousins were in town and were able to come along which I think made it extra special. I will report back on the baby's birth but for now Jen has the middle name picked which will be Lois after her grandma :)

Busy Busy Busy
Yeah for family coming into town. Every year we go to Carpenteria for a beach camping trip. When I was younger I hated camping. Camping with my family was always boring and alot of yelling, but when I married Jake I learned camping can be fun. The cousins all came into town on friday and we kept busy with Cindy's birthday celebration to kick it off and my friends Bella's birthday party. We had a great BBQ and tons of goodies to top it off. Granpa's present to Cindy became a hit with baby Jake and Clayton as they decided it was a toy and their public transportation. It was great to start the busy week with a fun time.

Mr. Sick boy
Well baby Jake got hand foot and mouth disease, booooo! He started with a mild fever and then broke out in little bumps. He didn't get many but the majority of them were around his mouth. HFMD is a virus that is common in infants and children, it only lasts for a couple of days. Jessica got this when she was a little younger than Jake and it was only in her mouth. Baby Jake was a trooper, I kept him in and away from others for about 5 days till the coast was clear. The girls seemed to have got a form of HFMD but Jess got a fever for a day, Kaelyn threw up, and Talia had a fever. So I think we turned out good on this one.

Baby Milhoan
Baby Milhoan is due on December 30th and I can't even tell you how excited I am. Joe and Amanda are having a baby boy and the name is still up in the air. I vote for Blake Ryan Milhoan and they both like it but Joe wants the name Mayham for the middle name. Ewww no! lol Every couple of months I take a belly picture of both of them, it stared as a joke and now it's a must take picture. Joe is now the same weight as Jake and it's cracking me up because Joe always calls Jake "fatty." Who's fat now Joe! I really like Amanda and her and Joe have a relationship a lot like my relationship with Jake. We play around a lot and we tease our partners hahaha.
