So the farewell party has come and gone! It was fun planning this for my inlaws, I wanted them to have a night for them. My inlaws are always doing for others with expecting nothing back from their kindness. I'm so grateful to those that did help with the entertainment, food and set up. I couldn't have done it without them. Russ had the house revamped with new trees, house painted and the yard worked on, it looked great.
Taryn did a hula and it was mesmerizing, she did such a wonderful job and I know many enjoyed it. She told me that the flower she wore was her grandmothers and this is the first time she had danced since her grandmother had past. I was surprised to hear that not many ask her to dance, I was literally shocked. Cary Inouye sang with Mary and Janeal the In the Jungle song and then Cary did a solo of Till we meet again. When he sang that last song I had to fight the tears back, it was beautifully done. I wish the best for my inlaws and I know they will do great things in Africa :)

Pre-school
This time Talia is in Miss Cindy's class and she is so excited to be back to school and so am I. With no tears or unsureness, she went in and started to play. She has a few friends in the class (Mav, and Gage) so it makes it a bit easier. When I left I went ot the gym and baby jake was not happy that Talia was not their. He kept saying "Eh Talia, Eh Talia?" So cute, when I picked her up he was very excited to see his buddy and they went back to their routine of fighting hahaha geeze!
Ventura Country fair
This year at the Ventura County Fair Martina McBride performed and it was AMAZING. On our way back home from a week of camping this was our finale to a week of beach fun. One year we saw the Beach Boys and it was so much fun so we all agreed that this artist was a must see. Before the concert I took the 3 girls to roam around and play some games. Talia did the giant slide with no fear and then all 4 of us attempted the huge adult slide, I freaked out, not going to lie. We had to try the jumbo corn dog, pretzel and corn on the cobb. I think I gained 15 lbs that night. Some of the kids exhibits were a fun time, we saw animals and hands on wood toys that were fun to play with . Before the concert started I got a upsetting phone call from Jake that Grandpa went to the hospital due to chest pains, Cindy and her sisters went to the hospital and we stayed behind and waited to hear from them. Joe showed up with Amanda and it was really great to see them, they were able to help me out to get the kids back to the car. Funny story that happened during the concert and I chuckling still to this day over....Laura during the concert asked me when the show would be over. I was a little confused because I thought she might be tired and was ready to go. When I told her that I thought it was done at 9pm she had a weird look on her face. I asked her what was wrong and with with the funny Laura come back she said "Talia, she peeded on me. It's running down my leg. I feel it going thru my underwear right now." I was laughing so hard I was crying, poor Laura. She is such a wonderful person and she took that like a champ with no complaint, I love how great of an aunt she is and I'm so grateful for her in our lives.
Carpenteria 2012
2012 Carpenteria Camping is defiantly one for the books this year. I have to say it was a little hard for me this year with 4 kids and no husband to help me. We love going on this trip every year and I look forward to a great week with family and friend. It was hard being in 4 different places and having much help, I recruited Laura to help me a bit because I couldn't do it without a second pair of hands to do stuff. Anyways the kids had a blast playing in the ocean and there was sand in places we cannot talk about. Natalia hung out with her buddy Brielle and they were Frick and Frack, I thought it was awesome that they were able to hang out and got along so well. The weather was perfect, no clouds in sight. This year Cindy's brother Allen and family came for the week and it was the first time I was able to meet them, they were really nice and it was nice getting to know a little bit about them. Jake was able to come one night and it was like Christmas for me, he helped me shower the kids and feed them. On the trip we did get to go to Santa Barbara pier, we walked around and took pictures and hung out for a bit.
Kaelyn tried out Skim boarding and was determined to master it, thanks to Adam for having the patience to deal with her persistent attitude. She was just loving every minute that Adam spent helping her with it. The kids also got to do Jr. Rangers, this is were they got to learn how about animals and do crafts. Carpenteria has never disappointed me! Can't wait for next year, but this time Jake better be there to spend time with us :)

Farewell talk
Today was Russ and Cindy's farewell talk at the CC2 ward. I can't believe how close they are till leaving and it really is going too fast for my liking. The talks were amazing and I'm glad I got to be there. Cindy put me in tears at the end of her talk and it took all of me not to let out the uncontrolable cry and look like a baby. I kept looking around to avoid the crazy crying and it did't work well because other members kept looking at me with a kind smile, that made me cry more.Russ's talk was amazing as well and from both their lessons I learned so much I didn't know before ...The Sorensons, Joy (cindy's cousin) and Elsie (cindy's aunt) came to hear the talk and join up for lunch. So the count down is on and 12 more days till my inlaws leave for their mission!!!!!

Farewell Johnsons
The Johnson family farewell was at the park yesterday and it took alot not to be emotional. Jake and I have had the pleasure of having Scott in our class. This boy is amazing in so many ways, he listened in class, answered questions, was helpful. Such a heart of gold! I even liked when he would call me out on the days I would have to teach..."sister milhoan, we are watching a video again." Thanks Scott for that! The kids got to play and it was nice to see people go out of their way for them. Nikki set up the event and she shows such care for others which is a blessing. I found extra water balloons and was determined to help cool off the kids. The dumb faucet was shooting out hot water which was no bueno so I had to fill the ice chest with ice cubes to cool it down...The heat has been sucky!

Grandbaby number 8
Grandbaby number 8 will be born in the beginning of September!!! It's crazy how times have past and families have formed over the years. I have the pleasure of being an aunt/cocia and I couldnt be happier. Today was Jennifers baby shower at sister Beals home, it was really sweet of her to do the shower and of course did a wonderful job. The food was AMAZING, she must of known I love quiche. haha My little twinzies were there go I got some cuddle time with them, they have gotten so big and I love their little voices. When they first came in the house they ran up to me saying "aunt Fran" seriously melting my heart. The cousins were in town and were able to come along which I think made it extra special. I will report back on the baby's birth but for now Jen has the middle name picked which will be Lois after her grandma :)
